| MultiSWAP is an application based on the Framework Integrated Water Management. In this framework calculations of water flow and solute transport in the soil and a surface water network are integrated.
MultiSWAP describes the integrated relation between ground and surface water for both water quantity and quality at the scale of (sub)catchments. With a module in the application weirs and pumps can be controlled by for example the groundwater level or concentrations in the surface water.

The mixture of tracers gives an insight in the part of different water types in the different parts of the water system.
Furthermore MulitSWAP contains possibilities to simulate the distribution of persticides in soil ande surface water of a (sub)catchment.
MultiSWAP is developed by Alterra on request of Hoogheemraadschap Rijnland, and can be used by water managers.
