Research

The Earth System Science and Climate Change Group (ESS CC) performs competitive contract research on both fundamental and more policy oriented questions. The group focusses on the terrestrial and tropospheric components of the Earth system, addressing primarily anthropogenically driven states and changes in the Earth System.

Research of the ESS CC Group includes the following thematical research clusters groups:

• Land Aatmosphere Interactions Group (Urban land use, Agricultural and natural land use, Biogeochemical processes and greenhouse gas emissions, Micrometeorology, From local to global scale)
