Academic reputation
An undependent bibliometric analysis performed for a sub-set of ESS CC staff members for the purpose of the 2007 evaluation, revealed that over the period 1996 - 2006, the relative impact of the ESS and CC publications is far above world average (2.83). 39 out of 108 analyzed A-category journal publications belong to the 10% highest cited publications; this is 36% of total publications. The h index of our group is 22. Over the two consecutive periods, the relative impact increased from 2.07 for 1996-2000 to 3.40 for the period 2001-2005.

Most of the publications were categorized in the field of Agricultural Sciences and have an far
above average impact (2.89). Our publications in the field of Environment/Ecology have a far above world average relative impact (3.69) and those in the field of Geosciences a relative impact of 2.03. Download the list (pdf) with all ESS CC Publications 2001 between 2006 used for the evaluation.
