In dialogue with client/taskmasters tasks for research are formulated. The problem has to be actual in present management practice and linked with de fields of interest of the team.
Actual issues are:
- changes in hydrology, nutrient load, spatial shredding and the impact on life communities
- management of small populations and genetics (in cooperation with the Moleculair ecology, Ecotoxicology and Wildlife management team)
- migrating species and spatial management
- multifunctional land use (esp. nature, landscape & agriculture)
- development of general accessible eco-databanks for issues on land re-allotment and management
- appearance and impact of exotic, invasive species
- climate change and endurance of species
