Qualifications
Jan is research assistant and also manager of the Molecular lab. He takes care of the daily activities in the lab and looks after the correct application of the ISO-9001 standard. He is responsible for maintaining and updating the Standard Operating Procedures and protocols that are used for the research activities (PCR- and AFLP-techniques; gel-electrophoreses). His expertises are:
- Participation in GLP research (Good Laboratory Practice).
- Writing and updating Standard Operating Procedures.
- Management of laboratory data and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
- Chemical nutrient analyses in soil and plant material according to ISO/IEC 17025.
- Participation in internal audits according to ISO-9001 and ISO/IEC 17025.
- Quality officer of the Forest Genetic Resources cluster of CGN.
