Msc. in Forestry and Soil Sciences from the Agricultural University Wageningen
PhD in forest planning and economics from the University of Joensuu, Finland.

Research interest
My main field of interest is in forest resource analyses for European forests in combination with climate change and carbon sequestration studies. Results have been published in over 120 publications.

Affiliations
Member of the expert group for the UN-ECE’s ‘European Forest Sector Outlook Studies’.
Deputy chair of the IUFRO group 4.02.07: ‘large scale inventories and scenario studies’.
