Dialogue on Water and Climate

The Dialogue on Water and Climate aims to improve the capacity in water resources management to cope with the impacts of increasing variability of the world's climate. This will be realized by establishing a platform through which policymakers and water resources managers have better access to, and make better use of, information generated by climatologists and meteorologists. The dialogue wants to realize the following: a universally accessible web-based knowledge base and information system; guiding principles/tools for policymakers and water resources managers; publicity and other materials for water managers to increase their awareness and understanding of the potential impacts of climate variability on water resources, ecosystems, and human health and poverty; national and basin-level strategies and a synthesis report for the Third World Water Forum.
