About PEER
The Partnership for European Environmental Research (PEER) is a strategic partnership of major European environmental research centres, that foster innovative multidisciplinary research and cross-cutting approaches in support to national and European policy-makers, industry and society. 

The research activities of the PEER members are carried out in scientific autonomy through multi-annual strategic research programmes, agreed with governmental stakeholders and financed predominantly through public budgets allocated by institutional or competitive means.
