METIER (METhods of Interdisciplinary Environmental Research) is a Marie Curie Series of Events addressing cutting-edge methods of interdisciplinary environmental research needed for supporting environmental management.

     -  Remote sensing /collection of environmental data,
     -  Information management,
     -  Geo-visualization,
     -  Environmental modelling,
     -  Environmental scenario analysis.

Idea of the METIER Final Conference
To gather all interested researchers and stakeholders, especially the lecturers and participants of the former METIER training courses and invited key note lecturers, to discuss ways to tackle the complex challenge of climate change – biodiversity – water use – land use using especially those methods provided by METIER.

Target group
Esp. young scientists with interest in environmental research, management, and policy

Format
There will be presentations from both, young and senior researchers, presentations from policy-makers or other societal leaders, and working groups discussing the issues.

Financial support
Travel costs and living allowances of all eligible participants
