For the farewell of Gert-Jan Nabuurs, Alterra, part of the Environmental Sciences Group (ESG) of Wageningen UR organizes an afternoon seminar jointly with the European Forest Institute. We are pleased to invite you to this seminar on Forests in the new Climate Agreement. The follow up of the Kyoto Protocol is to be decided in the COP XV in Copenhagen in December 2009. The idea of the seminar is to present the role of forests in the world climate and ways in which they can be treated in a follow up of the Kyoto Protocol. The seminar regards the new Agreement under discussion and looks at the role of tropical and European forests. In addition, collaboration in this scientific topic in European forests will be addressed.
