Major Research Interests:
- Ecological and evolutionary implications of the population dynamics of plants, with special attention for dispersal processes, applying molecular tools, and for longevity including clonal growth strategies.
- Dispersal and longevity constitute the basic traits that govern colonisation and extinction processes that determine the spatial mobility of plants. This spatial mobility is the most important attribute that determines plant biodiversity in a changing environment.
